Keep Updated on Navy Aid Efforts After Typhoon Haiyan

On the DOD Live blog is a special section for the Navy, where lately they’ve been posting about the humanitarian efforts they’ve been working on in the Philippines since Typhoon Haiyan:

On November 14, 2013, the George Washington Strike Group arrived in the vicinity of Leyte Gulf, Philippines, in response to Typhoon Haiyan. Our nation’s aircraft carriers deliver a one-of-a-kind mix of combat power as well as humanitarian relief to every corner of the globe. Navy carriers are unique in that they serve the nation’s interests in times of war and in times of peace, adapting to the immediate and ever-changing nature of our increasingly global community.
