What is Hillier Ignite?

Hillier Ignite is the organization founded by Luke Hillier to promote democracy and freedom by creating economic opportunity. Ignite’s work is currently focused on three groups of people who deserve and need our help today: entrepreneurs, youth, and our military, both active duty military and veterans. Through programs that encourage, educate, and nurture these groups, Ignite helps to create economic opportunities through the development of successful new businesses, good jobs, and a qualified workforce that contribute to a strong democracy. Ignite also serves to tell their stories, provide inspiration, and motivate others to lend a hand.

Who is Luke Hillier?

Luke is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board for ADS, Inc, leading provider tactical and operational equipment and logistics solutions. He is also the Chairman of the Warrior Protection Readiness Coalition, an industry organization dedicated ensuring our soldiers are provided with the equipment that is crucial to accomplishing their mission and bringing them home safely. He created Hillier Ignite to promote the tenets of democracy, freedom, and opportunity.

What are the Ignite awards?

The Ignite awards are presented by Luke Hillier at the ADS Warrior Expo East, in Virginia Beach, VA in July, an event that brings end users, program managers, and procurement specialists together with industry-leading manufacturers in an environment designed specifically for government and defense organizations.

There are three awards:
The Ignite Lifesaving Innovation Award s presented annually to the company responsible for creating and introducing a product to the market over the preceding 12 months that Hillier Ignite has judged to be the year’s most significant lifesaving innovation.

Youth: The Ignite Youth Award recognizes a person or organization that has taught and inspired disadvantaged youth in the USA or abroad. It includes an unrestricted grant of $25,000.

The Ignite Warrior for Warriors Award recognizes a person or organization selected by Hillier Ignite that has provided significant support to veterans in overcoming the challenges relating to the transition to civilian life or the challenges faced by family members of active duty soldiers while deployed. It includes an unrestricted grant of $25,000.
