The EOD Warrior Foundation was one of the guest charities at the recent Warrior Expo, where Hillier Ignite was launched. Hillier Ignite greatly admires the organization for its work with EOD technicians. “EOD” stands for Explosive Ordnance Disposal, the disarming and disposal of bombs. Over 7,000 men and women serve as EOD technicians in the Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force, and expose themselves to some of the most devastating and severe fatalities, as well as PTSD. In current conflicts, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) are responsible for the majority of debilitating injuries to our troops.
The EOD Warrior Foundation, held up by the strength of EOD family and friends, provides financial, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual support. They also provide an annual scholarship program, maintain the EOD memorial, host several events — and accept proposals for you to host your own. Apply for assistance, or donate.
